I've been waiting for some mention of the new Dr. Who series. Critiques? Reviews?

That was a critique and a review and a mantra and a Universal Truth.
I can't say enough how glad i am that the Doctor is back. I remember wathcing Doctor Who as a child and are some of my fondest TV memories, if not the fondest. Tom Baker as the 4th Doctor with that toothy grin, mop of curly hair, and a personality as colorful as his too long scarf will be forever engrained in my mind, perhaps even in my very person. And the show itself, well, no TV or even movie could hold my attention better. It was a TV show for children that was in no way what-so-ever "dumbed down".
As for the new series, it was a big rish to go with a young Doctor, but seems to have pay off in a big, big way. I liked the 9th Doctor immensely, and am looking for to the 10th Doctor as much. And Rose, the Doctor's companion, is sexy and innocent, a deadly combo for my poor ol' libido. But most importantly the series has remained true to the spirit of Doctor Who and it's rich history and traditions.
In my opinion every other show on TV is running a race, far behind, for second place. I have already seen every episode aired in the UK (via the internet) and am bursting with anticipation for the next season which doesn't start until April 15th (forget x-mas just get me to the ides of April), hell i'm even considering finding the radio plays that i might give the continuity between the 8th and 9th Doctors.
Now see, wasn't "Doctor Who is teh Überness" much shorter. :)
